wipeout

i officially have two new favorite shows for the summer.

wipeout and i survived a japanese game show

(seriously stop judging me i can feel through my laptop)

last night these two shows premiered on abc.

i had been anxious for these show for start for quite a few weeks now their teasers alone had me laughing out loud.

here's one for wipeout for example...

i mean how can you NOT laugh at people falling down?!? the snarky commentators come through in the clutch just making me howl

yes i was howling laughing last night.

all by myself sitting on my comfy red chair eating simply booty, vegan style baby. if you live in my building you could probably hear my laugh from the elevator.

in my opinion (right now), wipeout is way funnier than i survived a japanese gameshow but we'll see if that continues.

am i evil for finding chubby girls and girly boys fall on their ass into puddles of mud hilarious?!?

i hope not.

because i want to be on the show. is there a casting call for one witty not so athletic cleveland blogger?

cause i'm your girl.

let's watch another clip just cause this is my little piece of internet real estate and i can do that.

"good lord, good lord" says tamera.

i can't stop smiling.

did anyone else watch this or am i the only dork that found it this funny?

You're not at evil as me. I laughed at the cubbie girl because she was crying, not because she was falling.

Karma is going to come back and get me in a car accident.

I knew that by going out to dinner, I'd be missing good tv! I saw previews for these shows and they looked awesome. At least I know what I'll be doing next Tuesday!

I didn't catch this, but lordy, I've seen old Japanese game shows on Spike TV and I can't believe how far they go.

You are definitely not alone! I found it hilarious.

I watch the japanese version here in germany and laugh nonstop! There's something about asians trying these ridicuous stunts - with their timid steps and eyes half shut! Plus commentary in german...yeah, I don't understand a word....and the filming quality is like a home video - it doesn't get any better folks....

didnt watch it, but it looks hilarious tho. we all have our guilty TV pleasures... i was hooked on flavor of love and rock of love (i felt ashamed just typing that - sheesh!)

Interestingly, these two shows seem to go together. This is the third post I've read today about how great the two of them are.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THEM!!! Extra love now that I see you loved them as well! 2 straight hours of laughter from both me and Mattchel. We officially declared that we will religiously watch both of these shows until they are unjustly ripped from the airwaves.

My husband landed on I Survived a Japanese Game Show while channel surfing. I thought it was an SNL spoof or something. I couldn't bring myself to watch it.

I can't believe I missed it! Laughing at other people is my favorite pasttime so I will definitely have to tune in next week!

I didn't see them, but I've cracked up at the teasers every time I've seem them. I think it looks like a lot of fun, I want to do it too.

I didn't see it, but it looks AMAZING! I might have to set my tivo because clearly I need to see this.

Noelle said...

I love that they cut to the chase and just show people falling down.

I am so sad I missed this!! i wanted to watch it, but didn't realize it was on last night

I tend to laugh at other people falling down too.. you know - as long as they aren't dramatically hurt.

one of my friends is a production assistant on wipeout and she said that it's hilarious.

But I think she has to say that.

That's all I got.

This looks incredible.

The Japanese game show one is intriguing because they have some f*cked up stuff there, but honestly, I'm totally into Tori & Dean on Oxygen. Amusing and I can mute it for a while and not worry about missing anything. Solid.

I saw previews but didn't catch when they both came on. And I would have been laughing like you during it. Something about people falling down, no matter who they are, is funny to me.

I'll definitely have to check it out next week!

I definitely need to check this out next week! 2 bloggers posted about it, so it should be an awesome show?

Yes, yes and yes. Wipeout is going to be comic gold.

What's funnier than people falling down? Nothing!

I too like to laugh when chubby people fall into mud...

How can you not?

In college, we made a drinking game from MXC (Most eXtreme elemination Challenge). Every time someone got hurt, we drank. The more we drank, the funnier it all was. I TOTALLY hear you on this one.

I'm totally game. I've been looking for some new summer watching and this is PERFECT.

kyleroth said...

Totally agree. The smart commentary only enhances the experience.
