dear blogger platform,

i appreciate you, really i do. hell, you are a google product - no other blogger platform can say they are part of that impressive family tree. i really like the followers of this blog thing too. see, i ever added it over there to the right.

but i have one small wish as a user. can you please allow me to respond to my comments individually? PLEASE? i go to all of my friends blogs who use wordpress and i'm jealous of their easy comment response system right under the actual comment!

dear twitter,

since i'm writing to you i figured i should keep each paragraph under 140 characters. got maintain the rules.

i think it's really cool that someone has put together the twestival charity event and that we are having one in cleveland - tonight!

i like helping charity, i like consuming beer and pizza at the harry buffalo downtown, and i like my twitter friends. oh, the warm fuzzies.

i hope that more people come and participate in @twestival_cle tonight at 6pm with me - it's only $15 at the door.

dear grapefruit,

somehow my mom has talked me into starting your diet on monday. what was i thinking?

i don't even like you and your sour taste.

but i'll drink/eat you if it'll help me lose 20lbs before i go to NYC in march.

dear valentine's day,

normally you don't bother me, you're just yet another day on the calendar that i don't receive a dozen red roses from my imaginary boyfriend.

but this year you had to go and really flaunt yourself by falling on a friggin' saturday. ooooooo look at you all dolled up for a saturday night out.

saturday nights are my night to go out and have fun with my friends but this saturday because it's V-day all of my friends will be on hot dates. maybe next year i'll like you a little more.

  10. if it makes you feel any better? i don't love the responding to each comment individually thing, personallly. i like how other people do it, but it's tricky for me to do it and have it be any quicker than the other way.

    so there's that.

  12. Friendly little tip: grapefruit does bad things to the effects of birth control. Not sure what you level of concern is on that one, but if there's any, I'd stay away.

  13. The comment thing is one of the big reasons why I jumped ship from Blogger to Wordpress. I have yet to look back.

  18. ARGH! The Valentines Day. Yes on a Saturday. Yes just after I broke up with my SO that I had an amazing house with, that in case you haven't noticed, is a terrible market to try and sell said house. I've renamed the day "stab me in the eye with sharp pointy sticks" Day. /endrant

  26. I also want the individual comment section. I grow tired of scrolling up and down the lists of comments while I comment, and it sometimes discourages me from commenting to my comments.

  29. About your grapefruit aversion:

    1. If you're going to eat them, pink grapefruits are definitely the way to go.

    2. Peel/eat them like an orange -- it's so much easier than cutting in half and dealing with all the little sections.

    3. Remind yourself that they're rich in antioxidants, helping you look young longer while de-toxing your system from all the vino we drink ;)

    4. Pair with multiple cups of green tea (more antioxidants and a healthy dose of caffeine) if you like.

  31. Grapefruits. I try to love them, I do... My mom herself said "I lost SO MUCH WEIGHT EATING GRAPEFRUIT" (caps emphasis, hers) but I just can't like it!

    Try lifting a bit of weights if you can. It helps burn fat while you're resting. F the grape(butt)fruit.

    Love the notes.
