it hurts to drive


it hurts to straighten my leg


it hurts to bend my knee

it hurts to lift my arm to drink a glass of water

it hurts walk

it hurts to talk

basically it hurts to move
and all this from day one (ONE!!), of jillian michael's 30 Day Shred.

i don't know who the hell i was kidding when i bought this but i'm gonna force myself to do the workout everyday.

EVERY

DAY

and that includes today, after my cinco de mayo festivities and in between the cavs game of course - multitasking is key.

you see that internet? that's what i call accountability.

because this post wasn't really written for any of you guys (sorry), it was posted for me.

i'm the one that needs to be held accountable.

Yeahhh! You can do it! I'll be missing the game. My office has a cycling team and we're doing our first ride of the season tonight.

Also, I biked to work!

The Shred is amazing!!!
I did each cycle for 10 days.
By about day 5 of the first cycle you will start to feel like- hey- this is getting a little easy...
Don't be fooled- day 1 of the second and third cycles, I was begging for death.
It's fun once you memorize all the little comments Jillian makes.
I also think she has a small crush on one of the other woman who are in the background working out- let's see if you can see the flirting as well...

I'm here to be the ray of sunshine! You'll never hurt as bad as you do today, as long as you stick with it. It will hurt less and less each time. =)

Misery loves company. So keep it up! Once it's routine you'll feel guilty if you DON'T workout!

I haven't heard about this one yet, but after you mentioned it, I googled it to find out more. There appears to also be a diet that goes along with it.

I bought it yesterday and I'm hurting too. Maybe not quite that bad but all the way around my arms and down my sides is super sore. But I'm with you. With you, me, bwp, and lbluca all doing it, I think we have accountability in spades.

i shredded for about a week, and right before i thought it was about time to move up to level 2, i went and faceplanted on that tennis court, and i haven't been back since due to lingering injuries from that little incident. however, doc cleared me today... so i'm thinking me & gillian are getting back together soon.

This post scares me about the 30 Day Shred. I have a feeling I should stick with my Wii Fit instead. You know, if I could motivate myself to use it more than every 2 weeks.

I myself purchased the Shred from Tar-get. Went ok the first few days so I jumped up to the second level. I thought I was literally going to have a heart attack in my living room...

I might hit it up again though now that I have the plum support group!

I LOVE it. There is a celebrity shred on exercise TV (which was pretty unlike me to try out, but I was curious) and that is pretty good too.

and i successfully did day two, pain and all and surprisingly felt better when i was done, like it made the soreness go away... weird right?

but that was a few hours ago, and the soreness has come back. crap....

The Shred! It's soooo hard. It had me muttering "Jillian is a bitch" under my breath for days. But it does work. I had to stop when I broke my arm, but now that the splint is off, I'm going back in and I know it's going to be pain all over again.

It definitely works. I did it for 90 days starting 1/4, doing 2 weeks with Level 1, 2 at level 2, 2 at level 3, and then alternated 1, 2, and 3 every day for the next 6 weeks, and lost 15 lbs. Now I'm going really hard-core with P90X.

I've got the 30 Day Shred and at first I was sore and stiff all over but I got used to it and now I've done all three levels. I don't do it every day (even though she says to) because it doesn't make sense to me to work exactly the same muscles on consecutive days. But, it does kick my butt every time I do it. Very efficient work out!
