fall into the gap (and the proposal)

Monday, June 22, 2009
this is a special weekend recap post because i'm recapping last thursday night as well as my weekend because what happened to me on thursday is just too good to pass up.

a fabulously friendly woman named justine from the LA based
brand about town contacted me and a couple of other cleveland based blogs on behalf of the gap. yes, THE gap. basically justine has been traveling around the country talking to a select group of bloggers looking to choose some as 'gap brand enthusiasts'.

funny the way that worked out because i just so happened to work at gap for almost five years. it was my first job at 17 and to say i drank the kool-aid during my time there would be an understatement. i thought (and still think) the gap was the coooooooolest.

so you could say i was excited when i got the email, and more than willing to meet up with justine and see what she had to say.

to read the rest of my gap brand enthusiast experience click on over to my new blog cleveland's a plum reviews.

go on .... click.

ryan reynolds makes me drool. he's just too hot for words.

That's so cool about The Gap! Neat opportunity!

I saw The Proposal as well. It thought it was cute - better than I expected! Admittedly, my favorite part was the end though. The credit sequence was hilarious!

:) No fashion show?

How awesome was this? Even if I don't get picked, I got FREE CLOTHES. It's just...balla. Baller? Actually, I'm not cool enough to say that.

PS: I was in Canton this weekend for a wedding. I thought of you. Because I know how you love Canton. :)

When I think of GAP, I always think of that Seinfeld where Elaine thinks she's dating an ethnic guy and the guy thinks she's ethnic too. Then, when they find out they're both white, the guy says to Elaine, "So, we're just a couple of white people? What do we do now?" And Elaine shrugs and says, "Wanna go to the GAP?"

This was a bad post to read when I skipped breakfasat and lunch is still an hour away. That chicken dish sounds absolutely delicious. No joke my stomach won't stop growling now.

I wish one of these companies would search for tall Canadian dudes who eschew shaving and wear baseball caps all the time.

I hope you're not serious about the Fat Jesus thing....

You forgot to mention how Justine was also the cutest most delightful thing EVER. I would've done it if she was pushing turds.

What?

Oh my god, we got two of the same items. Now when you come visit we need to dress as twins. How awesome would that be?

I met with Justine too and she is just a doll. She was like talking to a friend, not like being interviewed. I tried on the same dress, but decided it didn't look right on me. Love your new clothes!
