first things first - there is a 2-year old little girl in cleveland with acute leukemia and while there have been two bone marrow donor drives in cleveland a match has yet to be found. so from now until july 3rd the gift of life is giving away free cheek swab kits to anyone in the cleveland area.

  3. No question the Bonobo. The way they greet each other is with 10-15 seconds of sex and even the guys "penis fence" as a greeting. The entire group raises all of the children because with all that sex there is no idea who the actual parents are. This means there is almost no fighting within the tribe because there isn't a dominant figure that mates with all the females.

    I want to be a bonobo.

  4. I used to be a fan of the red-butt kind, but i think I now prefer the tiny ones who can sit on my shoulder. They are especially good for pickpocketing.

    I'd like to add the stovemonkey 'Prosciutto' shirt is awesome!

  5. If there was a pink monkey, that would be my favorite. or you know what, I'll just dye the cute little guy's hair that way. But I wouldn't put clothes on him or treat him like a person because those people are FREAKS!

  8. My favorite monkey is the Spectacled Langur. They're so adorable. They look like they're wearing glasses because of the way their fur is gone around their eyes. The males are kind of douchey, but that seems to be the case across most species.

    Also, Bonobos and Chimps aren't monkeys, they're apes. That's the anthropologist in me talking, but I couldn't shut her up.

  13. I would have to say that my favorite monkey is any monkey that can be found in the Pittsburgh Zoo. ;-)

    Being tiny and purple wouldn't be bad either.

  17. My favorite is the Capuchin Monkey. They're famous for their swinging skills, and also for being the little guys frequently wearing a fez and turning a little music crank. They're the shit, yo.

    And I, too, second Narm on the Bonobos as well. They love them some sex, and they go gay, straight, and bi. They are, to put it simply, AMAZING.

  23. My favorite kind of monkey is red, plastic and has arms that look like they're in the music video for "Walking Like an Egyptian" by the Bangles.

    Common in toy stores, they travel in groups and are sold in barrels.

  24. I love primates! I was an anthropology major in college so I am partial to the Great Apes (Gorillas, Orangatans, Chimps, and Bonobos!).

    My favorite(s) {yes, multiples... I just can't choose one! they are all marvelous!} are chimps, bonobos and little baby orangatans!

  41. My favorite kind of monkey is the howler monkey because they're super super loud. Also because they're the cutest monkeys at the zoo. Plus when I was little I decided to name my favorite stuffed monkey 'Monkeybob the howler monkey'.
