yesterday it was GAP jeans, which
you still have plenty of time to enter if you haven't already, and today it is, wait for it....

your very own CLEVELAND'S A PLUM t-shirt!

(excuse me while i do the happy dance, i just can't control my excitement)

this t-shirt concept has been a VERY long time coming and i'm so very proud of the end result and the amazing cleveland based t-shirt company, C.L.E Clothing Co, that i partnered with.

mike and jeff are some very talented dudes and have a great thing going for themselves with C.L.E - especially the cleveland's a plum t-shirt if i do say so myself.

available in women's american apparel t-shirt in eggplant S to XL

available in women's and men's american apparel t-shirt in asphalt S to XL

don't you love them?!?!

well you can BUY YOUR VERY OWN HERE or by clicking the icon in the sidebar.

now while i recommend buying one now before they sell out, i'm hooking up THREE lucky cleveland's a plum readers with a t-shirt of their very own.

three ways to enter:
1. leave a comment on this post telling me why cleveland's a plum.
OR
2. leave a comment on this post telling me what fruit your city would be.
3. for a second entry: tweet about this giveaway and comment again with a link to your tweet

remember, make sure to leave me your email address in the comment section if i don't have it or if i won't be able to find it through your blog/blog profile.

i will draw the winners of this giveaway and the gap giveaway early next week so the comments lines are open until then.

good luck all, and thanks again to C.L.E Clothing Co and you guys for even causing a demand for a cleveland's a plum t-shirt at all.

Such a cute design!! I'm so happy for you - I know you must be really excited to have made a T-shirt, I know I would be. My city is Columbia, MD. Ok, technically it's not a city. It's a suburb of Baltimore.. or DC... it's kinda right in the middle. But it's big. So I say it's a city. And if it were a fruit it would be... a strawberry. It's small, but we have some big flavor here.

Congrats on a great design, too awesome.

Cleveland's a plum because it so kindly lets its Brown loses to the Steelers each year, allowing Pittsburgh to pad its stats.

Wait, does that put me out of the running?

I say Cleveland's a plum because folks seem to complain about the pit (whether it's a little snow, local politics, or whatever), while forgetting all of the juicy sweetness all around them.

I also say - take a bite of Cleveland and let it drip down your chin - delicious!

Lacey Bean said...

Clearly New York is an apple. :) But I'd also say it's a kiwi, because well, there are so many different, exotic people here!! Tweeting in a second! :) I LOVE THE EGGPLANT ONE!

Cleveland's a plum because YOU are a peach. It makes sense in my head. I think DC's probably an an avocado. Is that a fruit? I don't know. I just could really go for some guacamole right now. xoxo

Arielle said...

Okay, that t-shirt is adorable. I've never been to Cleveland, unfortunately. Um, New York and Boston are both my cities, and since NY is already an apple, I'm going to say Boston is a blackberry. Because sometimes it's delicious and awesome, but it is also frequently way too tart and you just want to spit it out because it sucks.

So...my entry is...

North Ridgeville is an ear of corn, because we're out in the middle of nowhere and everyone farms. And I drive by a field of corn on my way in to work.

Also, I know corn is not technically thought of as a fruit, but I can cite this WikiAnswer to support my entry - http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_corn_a_vegetable_or_a_fruit

So at least some part of it is a fruit!

Cleveland's a plum because Tremont is the coolest fucking place ever. Because Great Lakes Brewery makes killer beer. Because LeBron is the king. Because the Rock Hall is lame but no one from out of town knows that so they come into town for it anyway. Because Cleveland Magazine is my favorite city magazine. Because the Q is great, even if I wish it were still Gund.

Most of all, Cleveland's a plum because it's home & I miss it & I love it & I count down the days until I can visit again... & then live there again.

These shirts are great! Sign me up. <3

Cleveland is a plum because Cleveland makes the wrong decision on everything, including city slogans. It is also a plum because I would rather live elsewhere but it is good in isolation, just like I would never eat a plum if there was another fruit available but if stranded on a desert island it would probably taste fantastic. Finally, both's main usefulness is for medical therapy.

I was born in Ohio so any Ohio city is plum fine by me.

However, I'm now living in Tucson, Arizona city of Kumquats. They require hot summer temperatures to produce a fruit that's sweet on the outside with a juicy sour center. Once you've eaten a few you've realized even this odd little fruit has a beauty all to it's own. Desert living is an acquired taste, bitter sweet.

Besides, wearing that cool t-shirt down here in the wild west would really piss off a lot of cowboys.
