also thanks for being super proactive about trying to find me by texting the last person that had texted me - @lzone - and saying to her,
"hey the owner of this phone left it in the bathroom. let her know somehow, i put it at the bar".
so awesome!
i'm lucky that the smartest girl at liquid's ladies night happened to come across my
thanks,

dear sushi rock,
are times that tough that you have to charge 50 cents for a side of spicy mayo now?
it's weird.
although you did redeem yourself by providing me with a rainbow band-aid for my blister.
let's call it even.
love,
alexa

Man, I wish I had been the last person you had texted.
ReplyDeleteI mean, I wish I had been the last person who texted.
ReplyDeleteNevermind.
Commenting is not my friend today.
That's pretty awesome that person found your phone and turned it in. Many people would have not done so.
ReplyDeleteThings like that redeem faith in humanity.
I agree, that is awesome that whomever found your phone took the effort to send a text and give your phone to the bar.
ReplyDeletewas court wearing those "high waist" shorts?!? those are my fave (or maybe she owns them as pants)
ReplyDeletehope you guys had fun
sorry about your blister
oh, and you should probably not have any kids, unless you want to purposely leave them in the bathroom.
i kid i kid.
next happy hour?!?
WOW! That's so nice she returned your phone!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you and sushi rock called it even. ;)
Okay, so we have Sushi Rock and the Barley House in Dallas and for a second I was like, "Did Alexa move to DALLAS?"
ReplyDeleteThen I realized that it's okay for restaurants and bars to exist in more than one state.
I'm having that kind of day...
I once left my phone in a Whataburger bathroom at about 3am and the employee who found it called "Home" and woke my dad at 5am to try and let me know where it was. He wasn't too pleased.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun night!
Wow! That's awesome that someone got your phone back to you!!
ReplyDeleteAll this tells me is someone had a little bit to drink the other night.
ReplyDeleteKudos to the girl who found your BB. Those are the times my faith is restored in humanity! Love the letters!
ReplyDeletewhat a nice girl to return your berry. i hope you hugged her.
ReplyDeletethat's awesome someone returned your phone. there really are nice people left in the world.
ReplyDeleteHow nice of that girl! So many shady people in the world that would just get it for themselves if they see good stuff left but not her! :) what an awesome girl..
ReplyDeleteI lost my phone in Key West on Spring Break once. The girl who found it not only answered immediately when we called it, she DROVE TO OUR HOTEL and dropped it off the next day. <3 <3 <3
ReplyDeleteAlexa, I had no idea how drunk I was! Matt informed me last night that as I was drifting off to sleep after stumbling into bed, he asked if I ate any sushi and I said "No". Then he asked, "What did you eat?" and I replied "tampons" to which he queried, "Where do they serve tampons?" and I responded "from the gutter".
ReplyDeleteGood times!!!!!
wow! i'm impressed by your phone story. i wish more people in the world were like that.
ReplyDeleteI need to start writing these letters or something. I love them.
ReplyDeleteWell over a year ago now, I was working at the restaurant one Wednesday night and had a table of guys around my age. One of them left his phone. I didn't remember his name, but I remembered someone else's at the table, so I called that guy to tell him. That guy I called - with his friend's phone - ended up becoming really great friends.
Brilliant phone finders are the best. If I may say so myself, I've been one before. Feels darn good.
ReplyDeleteBarley House is trash central, but admit it, you're gonna keep going there. I sure do.
