blog it forward, hilarities, and continuing the awesome

thursday. night. kicked. ass.

in continuing the charity theme from wednesday night a group of amazing social media kids gathered at the greenhouse tavern for the blog it forward event that my love chef's widow organized to help fellow blogger anissa mayhew.

proceeds from the happy hour at the greenhouse, a 50/50 raffle and even a donation from the MVP valet guys helped us be able to send $1,000 to anissa mayhew and her family.

makes ya all warm and fuzzy doesn't it?

the only thing i ask of you all is try to follow suit and do something special for someone this holiday season as you never know when the tables will be turned and you will be in need.

besides the obvious good times with my friends at the greenhouse tavern there was another bonus surprise for me waiting at the restaurant.

michael and liz symon.

yes, that
michael symon. (btw, have you checked out his newest restaurant on the eastside B Spot or bought his new cookbook live to cook yet? you should)

i have come to find out that liz is my blogs super fan, and one of the coolest ladies i've met in awhile. i was actually one of the reasons that they came to the blog it forward event - to meet ME!

cue sweating.

when they told me that my face got bright red and hot and i was kind of in disbelief - i mean they are cleveland (and beyond) rock stars and they follow my blog? holy crap.

i eventually calmed down and was able to actually sit and visit for awhile with the symon's who are ridiculously down to earth and warm. talking about among other things how greeks are obviously the superior race. opa!

it was such a pleasant surprise and treat for me, and michael's famous laugh? infectious.

liz, call me, let's be friends.

liz, me and amelia (chef's widow) - and yes i know my shirt is loud, my mother keeps reminding me of that.

after a few hours at the tavern myself, beaver, jilly, moe and the giff walked over to hilarities 4th street theater to see bill burr perform.

mr burr himself!

we drank martinis and laughed loudly at bill's unique and brash humor which proved for a great thursday night.

i left hilarities saying that i wanted to make it a point to see more live comedy. little did i know that when the giff and i headed next to around the corner that we would be walking into yet another stand up comedy showcase with chad zumock and dan birt.

the funnies were surrounding us.

after lots of christmas ale consumption we made stops at west end tavern and harry buffalo, both of which had completely miserable crowds which brought us back to around the corner.

shortly after my return to ATC i realized that it was nearly 2am and past my bedtime - it had been a very long day starting with a 7am work out at overload fitness.

but there was one more thing that made last thursday even more amazing - i was named the blogger winner of the HP dm3 laptop contest, which means i get my very own laptop! thanks to everyone who commented, twittered and blogged about the contest helping me win.

i owe you all a big kiss on the lips.

on that note i'm going to continue my lazy saturday afternoon before it's holiday party time at cubby and martha's!

enjoy the rest of your weekend kids.

  12. That is, unless you're particularly searching for something. For instance, you require tires so you search for an advertisement from somebody who is having a tire deal; you've been supposing you require another jacket and you see your most loved shop has reported its new spring landings; at exactly that point do you see the promotions. www.aaa1autotitleloans.com/chicago

  13. Most schools and colleges just charge insignificant expenses and a low financing cost for these fleeting credits amid the time of reimbursement. Some even have premium free credits where understudies don't need to acquire and pay back more cash than they really obtained. payday loans san-diego
