too lazy to blog so i vlogged

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

i recorded the video below last night right after i got home from the gym because i realized that i had absolutely ZERO brain capacity to write a blog for today.

so instead, i took the "easy" way out and recorded a vlog of myself sans makeup, grubby t-shirt, and showing my tired eyes.

but do i care how bad i look? not particularly, y'all know i can look good when i want.

i care more about having to give up my blackberry curve to my new HTC google android phone.

you'll see, just watch - apparently i'm traumatized.

so what should i do with my old blackberry?

  1. You should give me the back of it. mine has worn out from me spinning it in circles.

  3. Man, I hear you! I drove an old, rust-bucket, junker car for years, and when I finally got a new one and they had to literally TOW my old baby away, I actually wanted to cry! We'd been through so much together!!

Hope the "break up" gets easier!!

  4. You're such a spaz. I don't get emotional about phones, cars, laptops. I'm happy to give them up when the time comes.

I say, donate your phone: http://www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com/. At least that way, you'll know it's going to a good home.

  6. OMG, get it bronzed! Then you won't be tempted to go back using it, but it will get the fancy farewell it deserves. :)

  7. You're ALEXA FUCKING MARINOS. You can do this!

Or just put it on a chain and wear it around your neck.

  8. I still have my last 2 cell phones in a junk drawer. You don't have to get rid of it just put it away in a drawer.

    wait for it...

mount it in a shadow box and hang it on your wall!!!

that way you can see it all the time!
and its like a little mini shrine!

    do it.
    be somebody.

  10. i am unfamiliar with this feeling. i always PASSIONATELY HATE my phone by the time i get a new one, so i'm more than happy to throw it out. (although to be fair i never throw them out, i send 'em in to be donated to women's shelters. SAME DIFF.)

  11. I think you should donate it to a domestic violence shelter. They take old ones recycle them and give them to women in case they are in danger from their abusers. It's a good cause.

  12. My last phone before my Berry was an LG Prada and I loved it to bits. I ended up giving it to one of my friends in exchange for several bottles of wine - which seemed like a fair trade off. She loved it - and even though she is now back in Oz, I THINK she is still using it. And I got wine, so it gave me comfort to think it went to a good home and I got alcohol for it.

Keep us updated on how the new phone is! I have a few months left on my current contract and wouldn't mind a phone that's LIKE an iPhone but NOT one. (I hate Apple)

You give good vlog by the way.

  13. I understand your pain: this is the exact reason that I don't want to get rid of my Motorola Q - I don't like any of the phones that are available with Verizon right now and I'm afraid that I'll just want to switch back!

  14. I always keep my old phone as a back-up in case something happens to the new one. I'm only on my 4th phone EVER (in like 11 years, seriously), and I still have my 3rd one. I donated the other 2 to Cell Phones for Soldiers.

  16. Four words: blow that shit up! do it!

  17. i think you should donate it to those people who collect used phones.. but on another note.. did you notice how you never look at the actual camera.. and only at yourself on your computer screen! hahahahahaha..

  18. I think I have all of my old phones. It's kind of funny to turn them on a few years later and read old texts that are still on them.

Giving it to a program that recycles them is a good idea... I've heard of ones they give to abused women or low income families.

I love my BlackBerry, and I'm trying to decide what to get when it's time to renew... keep us posted on how you feel about your new one.

  19. I see it's been mentioned but I was going to say donate your phone too. Doing something nice might make it easier.

  20. I usually put mine in a cabinet or drawer. Mainly because I'm not sure how to get rid of them in any other way.

Maybe glue it to the arm of the chair? Sort of like modern art or something.

    I am of no help.

    Yep, I owned one.

  22. I usually just end up tossing it in the a random junk drawer or something. I dont think I have ever actually thrown one away.
