i love miller high life and i don't care who knows

i have a bone to pick with some bars in northeast ohio.

WHY DON'T YOU SERVE MILLER HIGH LIFE?

i'm beyond sick and tired of looking forward to having a nice, refreshing and delicious champagne of beers only be rejected by the bartender saying that they don't carry miller high life.

WHY?!?!?!

it makes me sad inside.

in the last four days i have been to four bars where i have attempted to order a miller high life where i was swiftly denied the beverage of my choice.

the humanity.

i mean, it's not like i'm asking for some rare microbrew, some expensive aged scotch, or a glass of opus one, i'm asking for a MILLER HIGH LIFE!

perhaps i'll see if the bars i frequent can start ordering the high life just for me like my favorite bar in all of the world, geisen haus, did when i was a 5 day a week regular back in north canton.

it could happen.

until then, how about you miller high life people send me some samples?!?!

or how about a t-shirt?

yes? YES!

  3. allison, miller high life is hands down my favorite beer - has been forever. but you're right to question my beer love as 9 times out of ten i'm drinking a makers mark these days.

but when i want to "wind down" or have a "last call drink" it's always high life.

do you think they'll have one at l'albatros for me to drink when we are there on tuesday? ha.

  4. I think this is a sign that you need to move on from big box American brewing companies and try some better beer. Like foreign beers. Or microbrews. They really are so much better.

  5. LOL - I love you more every day :P

We had High Life on our limo bus for our WEDDING we love it that much! :) To make it even awesomer - it was when they were going through their "After the Hunt" marketing phase so the cans were BRIGHT HUNTER VEST ORANGE. awe-some!

  6. I think people who don't love the Champagne of Beers must be stuck up and un-American. The horror!

And I would like a High Life t-shirt also.

  13. When we, i.e, Tin Huey was recording our album out in LA, we started spending some time at Barney's Beanery on Santa Monica Blvd. They boasted something like 8,000,000 different beers from all over the world. On our first visit there, guitarist Michael Aylward walked up to the bar and asked "You carry Stroh's?" They, indeed, did not. After much fun railing at them, and more than a few interesting beers quaffed at the jernt, upon our return to Akron, we sent them a case. They never said thanks.Consistent with your blog post... the nerve of some people!!

  15. Really? Miller High Life? I never would have guessed.

It basically made my life when bars in WV started carrying Yuengling.

  17. If you venture to Parma, you'll never miss your High Life. It's fully stocked in every bar within the city limits. MHL always reminds me of summer. The first taste take sme to the campground, around a fire, with good friends and good beer.*

*This has not been a paid advertisement for Miller High Life. I am an equal oppurtunity beer drinker.

  18. Ummm, you should come visit me. We actually have a bar named the High Life Lounge where you can only get Miller High Life and other beers that were bottled before 1979. I'm talking Hamm's, Schlitz, etc. No Bud Light because it was bottled after 1979.

  19. I love Miller High Life as well! Beer doesn't get any classier! As you know, not many bars in Canton serve this delicious beverage so thanks for the heads up on the Geisen Haus!
