yesterday evening i walked into the starbucks on chagrin boulevard, signed my name approximately 326 times and walked out with a (town)house.

a home.

that i own.

all by myself...

which was reiterated all so kindly on numerous forms as, "alexa marinos, unmarried woman"... way to remind me.

but i don't care, i'm alexa effing marinos, i'm 30 years old, i have a great job, awesome and supportive friends/family and i just bought a house that i'm in love with in the city that i love.

i'm a catch, damnit.

that being said, i'm a catch that's moving on thursday and is only about 30% packed - which translates to don't expect any life changing posts here on the plum next week as mamma needs to pack.

priorities.

good thing it's friday, have a sexy weekend, kids.

  9. Best header for a blog post ever.

Now you just have to accept the responsibilities that come with being an adult homeowner. The most obvious one is having to booby-trap your house against the Wet Bandits. You can do it Alexa. If you can get the milk, eggs, and fabric softener yourself, you can do anything.

  10. I remember when I also signed my name about 300 times. What killed me was writing a check out for $20,000. THAT was insane!

  11. Good for you!!!!

I was a 32 single until this year but like you...I didn't sit around and wait for Mr. Perfect to get the things I wanted out of life. You can't ever let yourself be held back...I wish more singles thought like you :)

  12. Believe me, your new neighborhood is way better place to live :) Especially when everyone puts up their Christmas lights. Also on July 4th. And in the spring when everyone's daffodils come up.
