I don't want to cheat on the loveliness that has been this perfect summer but I can't help but be starting to get the itch for fall.
I know, I know, it's only August 18th, but with Labor Day a mere two weeks away I need to to start preparing myself for the fact that summer is going to be over before we know it.
But I'm not wishing away this beautiful weather.... no way Kelly and Jose.
Instead I'm beginning to yearn for September.
For crisp air, light scarves + jackets, new boots, hot coffee and football.
I enjoy the excitement that each of the four season changes bring me - it's one of my favorite things about living in Ohio.
I suppose you could say I have a short attention span, even for weather...
Bring it on fall, but while you're on your way to CLE I'm gonna go ahead and enjoy the rest of my time with your cousin summer.
So are you like me and looking forward to all things fall?
I can't make up my mind on this one! Usually I'm all about fall, but I'm really enjoying this summer. I do want to go berry picking before I go apple picking!
ReplyDeleteThat said, we have a few special milestones this fall (our 5th anniversary & the hubby's 30th), so I know once it hits, I'll love it even more.
definitely looking forward to fall...in fact, i am ready. its my most favorite time of the year :)
ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite, so I can't wait! This weather lately is totally getting me in the mood for the next season.
ReplyDeleteI gotta be honest, I hope summer lasts a weeee bit longer because I haven't had enough of it just yet. Sadly, I'm never looking forward to winter, but I do love me some fall!
ReplyDeleteJust, um, not so soon. :)
I agree, these 70 degree nights are getting me excited for fall, football games, boots (I love boots) and all the fall colors.
ReplyDeleteI love Fall! I completely agree with you, one of my favorite things about NE Ohio is the change of seasons. I even *gasp* like winter (at first!)
ReplyDeleteScarves, sweaters, dark nail polish, pumpkin spice lattes, spiked cider, boots, clambakes, no more frizzy hair and sweaty make up dripping down my face... Yep. Bring on September!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. I hate being either shivering cold inside due to blasting AC or sweating profusely outside when I'm walking either to or from my destination. Sure, the summer allows for outdoor dining, but when it's steaming hot out, who wants that? Excessive heat also makes it hard to take our dog Butters out for a walk. Also, the mosquitoes have been eating my wife and I alive this summer...
ReplyDeleteThe arrival of fall brings the arrival of fantasy football--my biggest hobby! Plus, fall ushers in the start of high school\college\professional football--the type of stuff that we as Ohioans live and breathe.
oooh I love fall! I love the smell of it, bundling up, drinking spiked hot cider, bonfires, haunted houses, octoberfest, and snuggling up with my favorite warm blankie, and watching "its the great pumpkin charlie brown" with a pile of cats!
ReplyDeleteThis may sound like I'm headed straight to spinsterhood, but I like to think its just a sign that I know what I like!
october is always my favorite month and favorite weather hands down. i am so ready for a scarf and all my cute sweaters. although i will miss my dress obsession.
ReplyDeleteLove Fall! Can't wait for new sweaters and boots, all things pumpkin, cool evenings...yay!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to fall but not looking forward to the snow that follows it. Can't wait to experience that fireplace on the patio at Market Garden. Thanks so much for the reference, very cute :)
ReplyDeleteThat was a great Kelly and Jose reference. Made me laugh. You are a clever one, Ms. Plum.
