For my whole life I've been a morning showerer. (is that a word?)
You all know the drill, hit snooze 5 times, stumble out of bed and take a shower before heading into work.
Recently though I've been testing out the evening shower sporadically.
I enjoy sleeping in as much as I can and it's super easy to just roll out of bed, throw your hair in a ponytail and walk out the door.
The downfall with evening showering is that I can never have my hair down the next morning, my hair is just sadly too thin to rock the down after I slept look.
But that's the price of an extra 45 minutes of sleep though right?
I'm curious as to what the majority does though...
Morning shower or evening shower?
morning. this hair needs to be freshly washed to face a new day.
ReplyDeleteI have to do a morning shower, because a) it helps to set the day in motion and b) like you, if I wash my hair at night, it is a limp mess in the morning, wherein the best style I can hope for is a messy ponytail.
ReplyDeleteThough recently, I've been moving a little slower in the morning, trying to get morning chores done, and I wish desperately that I could have just showered the night before.
Evening. I'm usually too much of a sweaty mess from my workout to wait and shower in the morning.
ReplyDeleteI wear makeup to try and make up for the hot mess that is my hair, but I don't think it really balances it out like I convince myself it does.....
Morning! It wakes me up. But my mom showers at night.
ReplyDeleteif i drag my ass out of bed to workout in the morning, i obvs have to shower. but, i prefer evening showers.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I've been playing around with this lately! I find that I almost fall asleep in a morning shower... warm bed to hot shower does nothing for waking me up. It's almost better that I shower at night and just hope against all hope that my hair cooperates in the morning. Typically not... but honestly? I just don't really care anymore. :) Great blog!
ReplyDeleteEvening shower. I get out of bed for work at the last possible minute!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the afternoon sponge bath. Be prepared to get a lot of weird looks from people going by your cube, though.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Human Resources may pay you a visit.
I've tried the night shower thing, but then I'm just exhausted in the morning. The morning shower helps (a little) wake me up.
ReplyDeleteevening, forever and always. granted, my hair NEVER looks the same twice.
ReplyDeletethe only time i shower in the morning is if its one of those rare times i make it to the gym before work. but let's be serious about how often that happens...
Hands down evening showerer. (Is that even a word?) I like getting into bed all fresh and clean and then just roll out of it in the morning with a cup of coffee in my hand.
ReplyDeletemorning showerer... although then i still usually just air dry my hair and throw it in a ponytail :) but night showers wake me up! i find it harder to fall asleep after a shower.
ReplyDeleteHaving fine hair that gets oily pretty quickly does not allow me to wash my hair at night. It would be lovely if I could save the hours worth of showering, drying and styling that I go through in the morning. So much sleep lost over the years!
ReplyDeleteMorning! It wakes me up and my hair is a mess otherwise. I would love the extra sleep, though...
ReplyDeleteI've always showered in the morning. Except on days I work at home, when I either don't shower (eiwww, I know) or I wait until lunch to shower. I never shower in the evening, because it takes too darn long for my hair to dry and I refuse to go to bed with a wet head.
ReplyDeletei am most definitely a morning showerer, i couldn't leave the house otherwise, my crazy hair usually forbids it. also a morning shower helps wake me up and then i get to ease into my day a bit as i get ready post shower.
ReplyDeleteI usually shower in the evenings. I like having extra time in the mornings to sleep in. Hot rollers are my friend to whip my hair into shape.
ReplyDeleteEvening! I'm psycho when it comes to clean sheets, and i can't stand the thought of going to bed with dirty feet. I'm crazy.
ReplyDeleteEvening. If you put your hair in a french braid at night and then threw some product in it the next day would it be fuller? Sometimes I do that.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely evening although I feel more "presentable" if I shower in the morning. I like evening because I don't have to worry about driving my hair!
ReplyDeleteBtw, I moved back to Cleveland recently, so HI! :-)
Morning. If I take a shower at night, my hair is a hot mess the next morning.
