Cleveland Wine Festival 2012

Last year I was lucky enough to be able to attend and host a giveaway for the Cleveland Wine Festival, well, history is repeating itself because I'm doing it again! I had SO MUCH FUN last year so let the sipping and sampling commence...

The 7th annual Cleveland Wine Festival presented by Giant Eagle will be held Friday, July 27th (4pm to 10pm) and Saturday, July 28th (3pm to 9pm) at the beautiful Voinovich Bicentennial Park in Downtown Cleveland.

The two day festival features:
- Over 270 international, domestic and Ohio wines
- Best of Belgian Beer Cafe featuring Stella Artois, Leffe Blonde, Leffe Brune and Hoegaarden (one of my favorite parts of last year's festival)
- Food from Morton's, Angelo's Pizza, Das Schnitzel Haus, and Scott's Fire and Ice Catering
- Entertainment from Lloyd Dobler Effect 
- Wine education, cooking demonstrations and more

The festival's proceeds will benefit the Bright Side of the Road Foundation which is a non-profit organization started in Chagrin Falls to help find a cure for ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease.

As far as festival pricing goes the admission tickets are super affordable - Adult Wine Tasting Tickets are $28 in advance (purchase online here) and $35 at the door, and include a souvenir wine glass and 10 tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets can be purchased as well at Designated Driver tickets for only $10.

  3. I love Malbec's but I recently found a new favorite: Montepulciano D'Abruzzo. However, after a few glasses of the stuff, I cannot come close to pronouncing that correctly. Who am I kidding, I can't pronounce it right when sober! :) I would love to attend this event!

  20. I'm all red. Even with fish I drink a light pinot (noir). Not that I thumb my nose at white, but it's like chocolate and vanilla for me. Chocolate wins 90% of the time.

  27. did you say wine? hello!!

    I loooove Moscato. But on occasion I enjoy a pinot grigio as well. But I'm not a wine snob. I prefer local winery wine for $6-$15 a bottle over any fancy schmancy wine!!

    And I just like what tastes good, and isn't dry. I do not discreminate whatsoever! If a wine sucks, you can always add some sprite! Holla!!
